Repro India adds Baker & Taylor, BPP and Random House to client list

Repro India has reported 84.31% rise in its net profit to Rs 94 million for the quarter ended Sept.30, 2011 as compared to Rs 51 million in the same period of last year.

The company with book printing operations in Mahape (near Mumbai), Surat and Chennai has big plans for its digital division, according to our sources.

Revenue for the quarter stood at Rs. 773.6 million, a rise of 18.17% as against Rs. 654.6 million in the corresponding quarter. EBIDTA margin for the quarter stood at 17% as compared to 15% in Q2FY11. EBIDTA margin during the quarter rose 13% to Rs 130.8 million.

EPS for the quarter stood at Rs 8.69 compared to Rs 4.66 for the corresponding quarter of last year.

Commenting on the Q2FY12 performance, Mukesh Dhruve, Director, Repro India said, `"With a focussed strategy towards making our service solutions available globally, we have expanded geographies across continents, meeting the requirements of corporate and publishers around the world. This quarter, we added Baker & Taylor, BPP and Random House to our client list."

"There are lots of opportunities for large integrated printers in India. While India is currently 12th largest printing market globally, it is poised to climb to 8th position if the current growth curve continues," added Dhruve.

Since the acquisition of Macmillan's printing operations in India, Repro has re-branded itself as "an education content management and delivery solutions", stated Pramod Khera who is the executive director.
