Q4 results: Cosmo Films, HNGIL and Polyplex Corporation

Leading manufacturers announce their results for the financial year ending 2014-15.

Cosmo Films
Cosmo Films (CF), a manufacturer and supplier of packaging, label, specialty films and print lamination, has reported a consolidated total income from operations of Rs 391.68-crore and a net profit of Rs 14.32-crore for the quarter ended March 2015. CF has given 10.09% returns over the last six-months and 73.50% over the last 12-months.
 
CF has a customer base which is spread across more than 100 countries in six continents. The company started their first production facility in 1981 at Aurangabad and has gradually expanded to become one of the leaders in BOPP films manufacturing. It acquired Gujarat Propack in 2002 and set up a manufacturing plant in South Korea in 2011.
 

Hindusthan National Glass and Industries
Hindusthan National Glass (HNGIL) reported standalone net loss of Rs 77.27-crore in the March 2015 quarter. Even though sales rose 19.09% to Rs 566.93-crore in the quarter ended March 2015 as against Rs 476.06-crore during the previous quarter ended March 2014.
 
Sales rose 9.95% to Rs 1976.35-crore in the year ended March 2015 as against Rs 1797.43-crore during the previous year ended March 2014.
 
Apart from being the undisputed leaders in glass container solution provider in India, HNGIL also carters to customers in 23 different countries.
 
At present, it is the key player in India’s container glass industry with a pan India presence. Its plants are located at Rishra, Bahadurgarh, Rishikesh, Neemrana, Nashik and Puducherry.
 

 
Polyplex Corporation
Polyplex Corporation (PC) is among the world's largest manufacturers of thin PET/ bottle-grade PET resin film. Their global presence is in 78 countries across Europe, America, Indian sub-continent, Far East, Asia Pacific and the Middle East, catering to 1300+ customers.
 
PC has reported a consolidated total income from operations of Rs 770.52-crore and a net profit of Rs 18.02-crore for the quarter ended March 2015.
 
Sales declined 7.83% to Rs 769.41-crore in the quarter ended March 2015 as against Rs 834.76-crore during the previous quarter ended March 2014.
 
They run integrated manufacturing operations from India, Thailand, Turkey and US with distribution operations in US, China, Turkey and Netherlands.
