PubNext 2015 promises a solid panel and awards

The registrations are open and the panel is finalised for the two-day annual publishing conference, Publishing Next 2015. In its sixth edition, the conference has got on board Bengaluru-based NewsHunt as its title sponsor.

For the panel discussions and workshops that will transpire through 11-12 September in Goa, the organiser of the event, Cinnamon Teal Publishing, has got on board a solid panel of publishing houses, authors and literary consultants. Representatives from Rajkamal Prakashan, Harper Collins, Bloomsbury Publishing, Pothi.com, Rupa Publications and Sage India along with authors like Mamang Dai, Vaa. Manikandan, and Andrej Blatnik, among others will form the panel.
 
The discussions will touch upon topics across the spectrum of publishing; about trends and new models, future content, the changing library, the role of publishers in Indian languages and the nuts and bolts of self publishing. 
 
While on the other end, entries are being submitted for the Publishing Next Awards 2015, the second edition. "This year we have realigned and added categories to the existing five from the last year. The seven categories this year are: Publisher of the year, Publishing innovation of the year, Bookstore of the year, Printed book of the year, Printed book of the year (children's book), Digital book of the year, and Best cover of the year," informed Leonard Fernandes of CinnamomTeal Publishing.
 
The deadline for sending in the entries is 31 July. 
 
All in all, the 2015 edition of the conference looks to set the road map for the publishing industry.
