Canon India has once again confirmed main title sponsorship for the fourth edition of the PrintWeek India Awards in 2012 while Welbound Worldwide, GMC and Kala Jyoti have confirmed category sponsorship.

According to Canon India’s senior vice president Dr Alok Bharadwaj, supporting the PrintWeek India Awards was always on the cards. “Celebrating the accomplishments of those who contribute to the success of India’s printing industry is vital,” he said adding, “We also believe that the Indian print service providers must showcase their print capabilities to all the important print buyers. And these Awards help share those experiences that combine their ability with their clients to find the most appropriate solution.”

Welbound Worldwide, the sponsor of the Book Printer of the Year Award, said, “Welbound is happy to reconfirm its bond with Printweek India Awards and to celebrate the crowning of Book Printer of the Year Award.”

GMC Software Technology, a global company, headquartered in Switzerland, with offices throughout Europe, America and Asia, has confirmed category sponsorship for Personalisation, VDP & Transpromo Printer of the Year. Purnendu Mohanty, managing director of GMC, said that PWI’s reach and exclusivity is evident by the acceptance of the magazine by print service providers. “We think it is one of its kind. As the market boils down to become mature, this kind of branding is sought after by any OEM,” he said.

Kala Jyothi is one of India's largest printing companies which specialises in all forms of offset printing. It is the official print partner for the PrintWeek India Awards in 2012 as well. Since Kala Jyothi is the official print partner, it will not participate in the Awards.

There are 24 PrintWeek India Award categories to enroll into. “Choose the correct category and submit best examples of four print jobs which you’ve produced,” advises an executive who handles the PrintWeek India Awards entries.

All entries must be in by Friday, 29 June 2012.
