PrintPack Preview: Cutting tables

Let us have a look at what to expect from PrintPack 2015 in this segment.

Advanced Graphic Systems
Although colour matching is the AGS’ strong suit, its PrintPack focus will be the newly launched flatbed sample maker: DCE and DCP series. With converting and package production turning on the heat, this sample maker eliminates manual work and helps printers to respond to the print buyer in quick time. AGS offers both knife-based and laser devices and hopes to expand its existing install base of 10 machines. In addition to this, AGS will also highlight colour control solutions such as ink-presetting and closed loop solution, ink optimisation and print standardisation software, densitometers, spectro-densitometers, and auto tracking densitometers among others.

Esko
In October 2014, Esko rounded a successful IndiaCorr Expo when it launched V series Kongsberg cutting table. It had booked three orders prior to the launch and three orders at the show. The manufacturer hopes to continue its stellar streak of Kongsberg V’s order bookings at PrintPack. Besides live demonstration, Esko will tom-tom about diverse applications that Kongsberg produces at Parksons Packaging, Stora Enso, Nestle, Lilly Packers, MK Industries and SP Techpack.There are two kinds of Kongsberg V tables, each with their own strengths and range of applications; one for packaging sample making, which is outfitted with a FlexiHead tool and the other for signage and display production with a MultiCut tool head and a camera system.
