PrintPack Preview: Adhesives

At PrintPack 2015, the exhibitor line-up is ready to wow visitors with innovative technologies. Among them are three adhesives specialists which will feature their latest solutions.

Chemline
Manufacturer of specialty industrial adhesives, Chemline will use PrintPack’s platform to promote its hotmelt book binding adhesives and UV varnishes. The New Delhi-based manufacturer has been exporting its adhesive solutions to over 25 countries.  “Thanks to our in-house R&D facility, we are able to provide quality, availability and cost-effective products to our customers,” said Dr Ravindra Goel, managing director, Chemline.

HB Fuller
We are told that this adhesive giant is looking at the Indian market aggressively. It confirms to launch a book binding adhesive named Swiftlock LT5000 at the show. What this glue does is that it delivers high-performance bonding, and minimises MDI emissions by working at lower application temperatures. This polyurethane reactive hot melt adhesive features high-speed initial binding strength, even on dry paper stock, and in warm ambient conditions. PD Satish of HB Fuller says, “In today’s challenging print environment, choosing the right spine glue is key to delivering high-quality products. The specialised adhesive properties of Swiftlock LT5000, combined with the health and safety advantages it offers, has proven to be the right choice for many book binding manufacturers.”

Henkel
Henkel along with Welbound will demonstrate ways in which they can help book printers and publishers bring down their cost of production, cut down on delivery schedules, reduce wastage : all this, while the quality of binding improves. At the stall you can see bookbinding machines employing EVA hotmelts, PUR and water-based adhesives. These machines throughput at 500, 2500 and 3600 books per hour. Plus experts from Welbound Technical Services will discuss how we can support book printers enhance operational efficiency, reducing costs and improving quality. Henkel will launch the latest in new generation hotmelts, PUR and applicators.
