At a press conference in Kolkata recently, IPAMA’s vice president North, Satish Bajwa, and NS Manku, former IPAMA president, emphasised on the favourable policies and campaigns like Make in India, which will empower the printing industry map for setting up new printing, packaging and allied units.

Bajwa said, the Indian printing industry is ready to take-off on another revolution. He however, said, that there was a need to bring the entire industry including imported machinery not manufactured in India, under the umbrella of PrintPack India 2015. “The show is poised to become one of the largest platforms for printers, packaging, graphics, digital, signage and other allied graphics industries across the globe.”

Commenting on the growing footprint of print in eastern India belt, Manku said that the cities like Kolkata, Durgapur, Guwahati, Ranchi, Cuttack, Bhubaneshwar and several other cities of North East are emerging as printing hubs. “This growth can be attributed to the availability of latest, reliable and affordable printing technologies now available at their doorsteps.”

Manku added, “With PrintPack India, our objective is to not only to provide mutual platform for manufacturers, including Indian manufacturer, and end-users to keep this growth impetus alive and progressive.”

“We at IPAMA are committed to make the Make in India vision, a reality,” said the two IPAMA team members.
