Under its brand-name Daya, the 54-year-old company has its presence in 45 countries. HV Sheth, managing director of Sheth Printograph, is one of the founding members of IPAMA, the organiser of the show. This year, the company has booked a 276 sq/m space. During PrintPack 2015, the company displayed a first-of-its-kind automatic lamination machine during the show.

Among the products to be launched, the automatic lamination machine can laminate sheet sizes from 390x390 mm to 1050x1200 mm at a speed of 60 to 80m/min with an overlap accuracy of +/- 1 mm on 100 to 650 gsm paper.

The carton inspection machine has been developed for inkjet printing quality inspection of small sheet packets. It is able to inspect variable or immutable information of 2D code, numbers, English letter and simple graphics. The machine is equipped with sheetfeeding module, surface finishing module, position adjustment module, printing module, inspection module, double elimination module, sheet collection module, etc. With a speed of 80-90m/min, it can produce 20,000-30,000 packets per hour. For inspection alone, it can reach 150m/min and finish 40,000-60,000 packets per hour.

To meet technology and business advancement, recently, Sheth Printograph and Sodhisons Mechanical Works joined hands formed a new company, Shenso Graphic Solutions. These four machines will be launched under this joint collaboration.

According to Sonal Sheth of Sheth Printogrpah, the company’s key strategy to participate in a trade show is to display its technological capabilities for meeting present and future demands of its customers. “Our objective is not only sale but also to understand the changing market demands and offer solutions in cost-effective manner. Secondly, it’s a platform for networking, collaborations and public relations with all our present and future customers,” she said.

On the recent developments, Sheth said while print production went down due to demonetisation, it has given time to the printers to think about the future. “For a printer, this is the right time to look back and understand the technological gaps in his facility and plan systematic, long-term investments. Moreover, if we study the purpose of demonetisation, it is for the growth of economy in long-term, with availability of short and long-term loans at low interest rates and may be even lower taxation. So, investments will be at much faster pace with lower risk of investments,” she concluded.
