Micro Mechanical Works manufactures and exports corrugating machinery. Established in 1963, Micro claims to have pioneered the manufacture of paper corrugated packaging machinery, which till then were imported from developed countries like Japan.
Company speak Micro has won national awards for its innovative products in 1978 and 1985; Export Promotion Council Awards in 1981 and 1986 and the Indian Institute of Packaging’s Panmach Award in 1992 and 1996 for design and development of its three-colour flexo printer-slotter cum rotary die-cutter. Its areas of specialisation include printing machinery spares, maintenance and marketing. The firm launched its Straight Gripping Attachment (SGA) at Ipex 2006 and is available for all models of Heidelberg presses.
Company speak D K Garg of Multi Hitech, says: "The recurring wear and tear of the ‘pincer gripper’ and it’s financial burden on the owner gave us the idea of developing an alternative." The firm has till date converted 24 machines, three of which includes conversion from repeat clients.
