Top printers in Bengaluru assess the future

Seven print CEOs in Bengaluru were part of three hours of deliberations at the Toptec building in Rajajinagar Industrial Estate. This was part of an initiative by Karnataka Offset Printers Association (KOPA) and PrintWeek India. The aim was to discuss printing trends in Karnataka in particular; and India in general.

Ramu Ramanathan, editor of PrintWeek moderated the session. This included an overview of the industry. And three formal round of questions which were discussed in great detail by the print CEOs. 

Balachchandra, who spoke at length said: "My only advice to my fellow printers is to work as a team leader and not as owners who has control over purchases. Do become more thrifty in matters of deployment of personnel. Also have a close check on production which will also be instrumental in giving quality jobs."A Bhalchandra,  Rajhans Enterprises and president of KOPA

Balachandra's mantra, "One must maintain good relationship with the customers and manage finances effectively; specially on interest, rent and installment."

Nagsundar who initiated this forum stated, "Today is the right time to gain knowledge of the printing industry. Such a forum enables one to know about future trends in the printing industry and its consequences which affects in day to day running of the industry."

KOPA and PrintWeek India propose to continue this series in the future; as well. Nagsundar felt, "Such discussions will be useful for the 450 medium and small print firms and shall enable them to improve their business-taking decisions."
