The Canon kit has been commissioned in a 1,000 sqft lower ground floor of a shopping complex in the corporate hub of Gurgaon.

"Corporate clients are finicky about samples and we have an edge with turnaround time of samples or projects with instant delivery in nearby areas. Our walk-in customers for short-run jobs are delighted with our instant delivery," said Amit Gupta, who heads the marketing arm of Printelligent.

Buying a Canon digital machine marks a significant decision for Printelligent. Friends Digital has been a Xerox bastion with three Xerox presses including iGen3, DC7000 and 5000.

Gupta's father and the one who manages Printelligent, said: "Canon's capability to turn out 70ppm litho-quality offering a larger colour gamut opens us interesting market with variety of applications and this coupled with our expertise in concepts and designs for new revenue opportunities."
