Sharing his mantra for success, he said the industry needed to explore value chains wherein book printers become publishing supply chain experts, offering marketing support services using data analytics to develop better response.

He also said adding value through print effects such as lenticular, metallic finishes, foiling, odour, tactile, 3D effects, etc would be the way forward.

Stressing on the print drivers in the digital world, Mehta said QR codes, augmented reality, real time video rendering, competitions and promotions would help the cause of print.

Concluding his presentation on the future of print, he stressed that print would be a part of all modern innovations and will play a crucial role in electronics.

“It was an excellent day for print with more than 250 delegates attending. In his address during the event, the chief of NPES Thayer Long appreciated the development of printing industry in India,” Mehta, who was representing the conference as the president of the Export Promotion Committee of AIFMP, said.

FAGPA members from Australia, Philippines, Malaysia, Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, along with delegates from the US and Germany were present at the conference.
