Print Innovation: Taco Visions innovates for Volkswagen campaign in Times of India and The Hindu

Mumbai-based Taco Visions, the 3D lenticular printing specialist created 30-lakh copies for the German car manufacturer Volkswagen.

This innovation was executed for the publishing group Bennett Coleman’s flagship newspaper, The Times of India special edition covering Bombay Times of 29 August 2011.

T P Pandey, managing director at Taco Visions, said: "We had given the option of 3D lenticular printing but the German manufacturer rejected the option due to the budget constraints. We had to produce an innovative print ad. Finally,  we created this innovative ad which was appreciated by readers and the Volkswagen’s head office in Germany."

This innovation was created and printed in 15 days. The printing was rendered on a Heidelberg six-colour with coater interdeck all UV press using special coated paper.

This innovation was done for the special edition of The Times of India (Bombay, Pune, Delhi and Bengaluru Times) and The Hindu, Chennai city edition.
