This award will be conferred to the print company that has done most to improve its environmental performance during the period under review. The judges for this category will be specialists and this will be the only category they will judge.

The winners in this category in 2015, Repro India are truly an inspiration for many with environment and sustainability being their top priorities. At the 2015 Awards, Repro India outperformed its two contenders with a 31% reduction in its specific energy consumption in three years.

The book factory mastered the four Rs – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Re-engineering – for greening up its print waste disposal with business benefits, which was achieved through conversion of a heatset machine to coldset. For this, the team developed a new ink, saved on LPG gas, saving of electricity, and reduction in paper wastage. Plus, the use of Vision punch IPO conventional punching/bending, which facilitated faster registration, and due to reduced makeready time conserved energy. Rain water harvesting and imparting environment education to employees, contractors and suppliers helped Repro up their green quotient.
