Pratham installs Supersort at Kalapi and Rich

Pune-based Pratham Technologies the manufacturer of paper folding machines, displayed its carton sorting system, Supersort at IndiaCorr Expo 2015. The offline inspection system was launched during PrintPack India 2015.

Yogeshwar Kumawat, marketing manager (print-inspection), Pratham Technologies, said, “We have installed three Supersorts since its launch at PrintPack India 2015. The response from the IndiaCorr Expo (6 to 8 October at Greater Noida) is also positive and we have potential queries.”
 
The system is available in various models starting from a single camera up to three cameras and from both front and back side.
 
To-date, Pratham has installed three Supersort kit, one at Mumbai-based Kalapi Printers and two at Bhilad-based Rich Prints. “First we installed the Supersort 5002 equipped with two cameras but now we have upgraded it to 5003. This version is equipped with three cameras”, said, Kumawat.
 
The first time exhibitor in IndiaCorr seemed upbeat about technology adoption in the packaging industry, particularly about reducing the rejection numbers by emphasising on accuracy. “It will reduce manual inspection and full inspection for metPET cartons is also possible,” added Kumawat.
 
Pratham has manufactured Sueprsort 100% carton inspection system in collaboration with Vision Experts, wherein the software and illumination system is made in Germany while feeder, inspections conveyor, ejector and the other transport system is manufactured at Pratham.
 
The speed of the machine is 200m/min. It works out to be 50,000 cartons per hour for smaller cartons and 20,000 cartons per hour for larger cartons. Machine’s maximum size is 500X500 mm.
