Pragati Pack is a sister company of Pragati Offset and Pragati Flexo. In January 2007, Pragati kickstarted its label project with the installation of an eight-colour MPS EF 410 and a Nilpeter narrow-web flexo press.

According to Pragati, the new investment will complement its latest addition to the press armoury, an MPS flexo 330mm eight-colour press, the first to be installed in India, in February 2011.

"Over the last few years we have invested in presses to aid in our expansion plans, which in turn have increased our production capacity. We needed a laminating machine which would complement the increased throughput of our metallised jobs. And Steinemann suited our requirement," said Hemanth Paruchuri, the director at Pragati Flexo.

Rajesh Agarwal, managing director of New Delhi-based SRK Technology, said: "This machine not only achieves perfect surfaces but is also low on glue and power consumption, laminating more than one lakh sheets of 20x30 inch per day giving high speed and quality. This will give Pragati, a definite edge on cost."
