Most of the exhibitors were very happy with huge turn-outs, as more than 100,000 visitors attended the four-day event at Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.

Sanjib Baruah, chief executive officer, Zund India, said, “The footfall that Photofair gets is very high when you compare it other graphic art industry shows in the country.”

In addition, manufacturers such as Epson, Fujifilm, HP, Kodak, Monotech, Seth Printograph, TechNova among others, showcased their range of products for photography and digital imaging segment and conducted live demonstrations. The show also saw major printers like Glo Color Lab, Kaydee Colour Lab, Mazda Imaging and SRK Group exhibit their range of photo albums which attracted a significant number of visitors.

Another trend which seems to be picking up is the use of array of post-press processes to add to the aesthetic appeal of the photographs and photo albums.

While Sony and Panasonic managed to pull crowds by the hundreds, print manufacturers like HP and Kodak also pulled visitors, thanks to a display of print samples printed by their clients. HP had a section on their stall called ‘Memories for Life’ which showcased some of the best photo albums created on the HP Indigo. A gallery of photographs captured by Kakubhai Kothari was one of the highlights of the show, and included photographs of the Bombay High Court, Ladakh and Myanmar.

Organised by All India Photographic Trade and Industry Association, the fair gathered all service providers involved with the Consumer Electronic Imaging Industry with an estimated footfall of over 1,00,000 visitors.
