Paperex 2015 expected to be a 500 exhibitor sell-out

The 12th edition of Paperex is an exception in the space of paper trade shows which struggle to attract the exhibitors and visitors, from all the verticals and events. Paperex 2015 has its focusing set on the pulp, paper and allied industry.

With less than a week to go until Paperex 2015 opens its door, the organisers are expecting the presence of more than 500 exhibitors from 33 countries. The exhibitors will be showcasing and sharing product innovations with visitors, over the four days of the show, commencing from 1 November to 4 November at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
 
In the past few years, Paperex has established itself as an international business platform, promoting business, development of paper and allied products in the country. The exhibition boasts more than 30,000 sq/mtrs exhibition area with more than 15 exhibition halls. The organisers are expecting visitors from 40 countries to attend the event.
 
Paperex 2015 will also feature a technical conference on pulp and paper industry, organised by the Indian Agro and Recycled Paper Mills Association.
 
Today, the paper industry produces a majority of the paper pulp by recycling waste paper, pulping agricultural residues like wheat straw, paddy straw and sugarcane bagasse. In India, 46% of the paper is produced by usage of waste paper – through the process of recycling. Only 32% of the Indian paper Industry uses wood as the raw material for manufacturing paper.
 
In the last five years, the Indian paper sector has invested about Rs 20,000 crore on capacity enhancement, technology upgrade and acquisitions.
