Paper+ to be held in Chennai over the weekend

The third edition of Paper+, the India paper show, will be held at the Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai during 7-9 November 2014. Paper+ 2014 is the regional extension of ‘Paperex’, the world’s largest exhibition on paper, pulp and allied industries.

The 13th edition of Hand Tools and Fastener Expo will be concurrent with Paper+ 2014. Apart from this the show is paired with two additional initiatives such as World Paper Congress and the “Paper- Greening India” campaign.

Paper+ is poised to be an ideal regional business platform to link regional paper units to the international market with exhibitors from across the world showcasing their manufacturing machineries, raw material and paper products at the show. Some of the exhibitors at the show include Alliance International, Central Pulp and Paper Research Institute, Dongguan Qianwang Paper, Hi-Tech Engineers, Maruti Industries, PG Paper Company, Paper Mart, Paperex International, X-Rite India and Zenith Rubber.

The three-day event will also have a conference on ‘Recycling-The future of paper industry’ organised by IARPMA on 7 November 2014 and a World Paper Congress on Globalising the Indian Paper Industry: Looking Beyond 2020 by World Paper Forum on the 8-9 November 2014. A Special Session on Paper is green-environment friendly by the Federation of Paper Traders Association is also scheduled to be held on 9 November 2014.

India is the fastest growing market for paper globally and produces a wide range of paper and paper board with more than 700 paper units. Over 85 % of the total national production is through small and mid size paper mills and the estimated paper demand in the country is bound to increase to 15 million tonnes by 2015 and 20 million tonnes by 2020.
