The exhibitor side of the four-day show, which is spread across two halls of Hitex ground is light, however, major manufacturers of filling machines, inspection machines, marking and coding systems, glue applicators and corrugating machinery have marked their presence at the show.

The key players at the show are Uflex, Hilda Automation, Godrej & Boyce, IMA-PG India, Nordson and Videojet Technologies among others.

Uflex has launched high-speed chips packing machine while Chamunda Pharma Tech has unveiled tablet bottle packing line.

In the corrugation segment, the Guntur-based Jayraj Fortune is boasting corrugated intermediate bulk containers for liquid packaging and waterproof and die-cut boxes.

Among first-timers, Welbound Worldwide is exhibiting its Hot Case corrugated box sealing machine, while the new entrants in the country’s flexo platemaking space, Hyderabad-based Digiflex is boasting its Kodak Flexcel NX flexo plates.

“Hyderabad has always given a huge response to the show and as we are arriving in the city after a gap of a year, we anticipate a record-breaking edition,” said Arora.

The business sentiment among exhibitors is upbeat. However, after attending the PackPro exhibition in Chennai from 25 February to 27 February, attracting the audience in South for PackPlus is going to be a big challenge for the organisers. The next three days will tell.
