Deepanshu Goel of Creative Graphics said, “This is part of our expansion plan. As Colour Dot is an established name in southern part of the country, this acquisition opens the doors for the southern market for us. Now, we have setups in Noida, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai.”

He said the acquisition will bring at least 100 more customers to the company’s fold, increasing the company’s customer base to more than 500. “Right now, 70% of our customers come from narrow-web and the rest 30% come from corrugation, semi-rotary and other segments,” Goel added.

In a mail sent out to his customer, RS Bakshi of Colour Dot said that as both Bakshi and his brother, DT Bakshi, were approaching the retirement age, they were looking for a partner to take over the business so that customers are not affected. “Taking everything into consideration, we had to take a decision on how to retire from this business without a break in service to all our customers as well as our employees,” Bakshi wrote in the mail.

The company has agreed to hand over the running business to Creative Graphics so that the objectives of both the companies are met. “This will benefit our customers as well as our employees with the aim of providing the same and improved services. This is being put into effect from 10 February 2017,” he wrote.

The Colour Dot name as well as the land and building and some other aspects are not being given to Creative, but Creative will continue to operate from the same premises for a few years until they need bigger premises or buy their own premises.

Creative Graphics won the PrintWeek India Pre-Press Company of the Year Award for 2014 and 2016.
