The ninth edition of the Printweek India Awards 2017, promises to be bigger and better. Coming off the previous edition, which saw 132 print firms and 1200+ entries were pared down to 88 shortlisted print firms by the 28 member jury. This included 12 first-time Award winners and several new players from tier-II cities like Surat and Sivakasi take the centre stage. This underscores how print firms across the country are becoming more and more quality conscious.

Ramu Ramanathan, editor, PrintWeek India, said, “If you win at the PWI Awards, it’s because your work has been evaluated by the best of the Jury which includes stakeholders of all the major print disciplines who have vetted the print works through a rigorous judging process. There’s no sponsor pressure on any of the judges to award anything for any particular reason. In addition, for the Performance Awards, we look at the financials of the entrants. It’s one of the most serious shows to enter and win.”
