Pragati Offset has bagged the prestigious Sappi International Printer of the Year 2010 award.
On 26 August, they bagged the prestigious 'prism' as PrintWeek India Packaging Printer of the Year for the same job. Besides this, they won two more 'prisms' for Fine Art and Brochure Printer of the Year. Pragati has been ranked as the world's eleven best printers for 2010 as declared by Sappi. PrintWeek India readers will recall that Pragati has bagged the coveted cast-bronze elephant trophy in 2006 and 2008.

Paruchuri of Pragati Offset attributes the strong showing to a dedicated team. He believes equipment and the technology are the same for everyone. The Pragati team's passion takes the company to win at the global level.

Clear cut planning and having the schedule for the next 8-10 hours on the board. 

One key thing in your make-ready routine?
Density checks. All machines are equipped with an auto-scan density measurement.

One way you handle a complex print job?
There is only way: plan, plan, plan.

One technique for handling an irate customer?
Stick to the truth. Always. 

One good thing about the new generation in the print industry?
Very clear about ROI.

One thing that clinches a deal?
Being fair.

One definition of key values at your press?
Consistent.

One indicator of performance?
Repeat customers.

One favourite activity when you’re not in the printing press?
Reading.


One way to handle unreasonable price hikes?
Do not have any way. Although I wish I had one. 

One dream you would like your press to achieve?
We will compete, always, in order to win. Dream would be to be a winner.

One good way to foster innovation among your workers?
Be a patient listener and give them the freedom to freak out.
