This is the first Mitsubishi six-colour with UV coater press in Central India. Ravi Menon, managing director at Narayana Printing and Packaging, said: "When we started seven years ago, we had planned that we whould have a unit with all the facilities under one roof. Slowly but steadily, we have made progress and today, we are in a position where we can compete with international standards."

Established in 2002, Narayana Printing and Packaging caters to the packaging industry. The company is engaged in packaging and book printing.

The company has invested in Mitsubishi six-colour UV press for its packaging work. Menon, added: "The reliability of paper transport and the automatic perfecting device are the Mitsubishi’s  strengths. It features robust, high-capacity inking units, which allow for great coverage, even when heavy ink coverage is needed."

Besides the brand-new Mitsubishi, the company has also invested in a Bobst Visionfold with Baumer HHS system, a refurbished Speria SP 103 and a Kodak CTP.

Nitin Menon, son of Ravi Menon and director at Narayana Printing and Packaging, said: "We have invested in the best of the equipment for pre-press and post-press. The Kodak CTP is calibrated with the new press and therefore we need proper setting on the press. It will produce the jobs as per the pre-determined values on the plates. The Bobst Visionfold and Speria will complement the jobs which require premium quality finishing."

Narayana Printing and Packaging is part of the Nair Sons Group.
