The kit includes a 30x40inch Cam Shell, 40inch UV curing system, complete screen making set-up which includes pneumatic fabric stretching unit, emulsion coating machine, screen exposing equipment, screen dryer, large size squeegee sharpener, and a yellow backlit washing tank.

Taking a ‘clean-room environment’ lesson from DMI, an institute run by Grafica, Naman Offset has set up its screen printing unit as per the screen printing process workflow requirement, on a 2,000 sq/ft production facility especially acquired to set up the screen printing unit.

“This is the biggest investment till date by an offset and digital printing firm in Dhanbad city and one of the rarest in the Jharkhand state,” said Sunil Agrawal, owner of Naman Offset.

“I do not want my existing as well as potential customers approach three different printing firms – offset, indoor/outdoor digital printing, and screen. Our strategy is to provide comprehensive print solution to our customers,” added Agrawal.

On enquiring that as a multi-colour offset, flex, and digital print service providing firm, why did they invest in screen printing technology, Agrawal said, “Let me clarify that I am not new to screen printing. We started our business with screen printing albeit with manual tables but later changed our line to multi-colour offset printing, flex, and digital printing.

However, during DMI’s workshop, I happened to learn two major applications of advanced screen printing. First the high profile UV special effects to offer value addition on offset printed commercial and packaging jobs. Secondly, the graphics screen printing application to make advertising / promotional display boards directly printed on sunpacks, sunboard, acrylic and other rigid substrates.”

“It is our experience that digital is good for short run whereas for volume jobs screen printing is economical and faster option. It is also our observation that with superior quality spot and process colour screen printing inks we can achieve vibrant print results," concluded Agrawal.

Naman Offset was set up by Sunil Agrawal in 1996 with one manual screen printing table offering petty commercial jobs. From a 350 sq/ft, after a series of expansion, the company’s printing set up is now spread over 4,000 sq/ft facility that houses one Xerox 242 digital press, one DGI PolarJet, one Eco Solvent machine from Mimaki and an inhouse design studio. They cater to sectors such as cement, telecom, jewellery, PSUs, banks, MNCs, advertising agencies, educational institutes, healthcare, etc.
