The Nuvera has enabled MPP to print 23 budget books of 160 pages each. MPP recently printed 600 copies of books  within three days, so that it could be officially inaugurated by the commissioner of MCGM.

"We achieved the feat with the Nuvera 288," said Anil Naik, joint manager- production at MPP.

MPP, which is celebrating its diamond jubilee, prints textbooks, questions and answer papers set by the board of education in Maharashtra.

MPP also caters to the printing of textbooks for education boards in other states.

Naik said that due to constraint of production capacity, MPP was unable to meet the demand for short- and medium-run print jobs.

"We needed speed and versatility to tackle the situation on hand and the Nuvera 288 had just that." The machine prints at speed of 288ppm on stock of up to 180gsm and can print duplex in one pass.
