Mudrika Labels' two new investments

Mumbai-based label specialist, Mudrika Labels has invested in a Vinsak 330 slitter review with an EyeC inspection system. The investment, Manish Desai, managing director at Mudrika, said, was is aimed at boosting production and ensuring that the labels are printed to the highest quality standard.

The deal was signed at Labelexpo India 2016.

The new Vinsak LSR 330 is equipped with both pneumatic rewind and unwind mandrels and jobs can be programmed at end of roll stop. “The full-servo as well as bi-directional machine allows 100% inspection of all labels. It will make our operation more efficient and ensure that all the aspects of our label production are correct, without requiring repeat,” said Desai.

The Vinsak LSR 330 is the first Indian-built label slitter rewinder, claimed Mohan Pailwan, assistant general manager at Vinsak. The machine features an electronic web guidance system with ultrasonic sensor suitable for opaque and clear substrates; an adjustable splicing table with pneumatic clamps for removal of the waste product; and can run at speed of up to 300 metres per minute.

Paliwan added, “The 100% label inspection system gives an added advantage over other machines in detecting faulty and missing labels.” He added, “Mudrika Label is one of our key customers and it’s a privilege to be their prime vendor. We will continue to bring new Label solutions for our esteemed customers in future.”

Mumbai-based Genius Flexo Machine is the distributors of EyeC Germany and Genius/EyeC have an OEM agreement with Creed/Vinsak for supply of EyeC products in India.
