Amritpal Singh Bawa, national head, Digital Press Scodix Division, said, “The first installation of Scodix digital embossing machine in PM Digital shows that the Indian market is continuously adopting instruments for print enhancement. We received very good and positive feedback from the open house and a similar kind of open house will take place in Delhi during PrintPack 2013.”

The open house was attended by more than 135 printers, designers, builders, digital printers and persons from photo labs and pre-press houses from Kerala, Bengaluru and Chennai.

Scodix digital embossing machine is available in two models S52 for B3+ size and S74 for B2+ size. Few months ago, Monotech installed India’s first digital embossing machine at Chennai-based printing company PM Digital.

Chellappan, managing partner, PMDP said, “This technology has been introduced for the first time in Asia. We opted for this machine to beat the competition in our market. We want to make print more appealing and want our customers to feel the product rather than just see it. This will take printing to a higher level. We want to provide full solution to the customers and all the processes are done in our printing facility at Chennai.”
