“The joint venture will make the best use of resources of both the printing presses manufacturing companies in this difficult time. By combining product range and USP's of each company, we expect a fusion product line to cater to the world market in this changing scenario. Now, the market can expect very good quality products supported by quality service support in the coming years,” said, Vinay Kaushal, director, Provin Technos, Indian representatives of Mitsubishi sheetfed printing press division.

Japan-based and newly formed Ryobi MHI Graphic Technology will be responsible for the sheetfed business. All the products from Mitsubishi and Ryobi in sheetfed segment will be sold through the new company.

This deal will have no effect on MHI-PPM’s web and corrugation products.

On the role of Provin, Kaushal shared that the sales and service organisation is locked in internal discussion, which will be concluded before the new company goes operational. Till then the status quo with present respective dealers looking after respective products will be maintained.

“Mitsubishi press buyers will benefit with a wide range of products.  Three printing presses were sold and installed in 2012-13 consisting of 18 units. We expect the same number for this year since the sudden change in financial markets in last one month has affected the market badly. We are optimistic and expect good number for this year also,” concluded Kaushal.
