Miraj Multicolour enters the packaging printing segment

Rajasthan-based Miraj Multicolour will inaugurate its newly established packaging printing plant on 18 October, 2013 at Udaipur. The plant is established on an area of 1,50,000 sq/ft area which also houses a three story building.

The new plant, according to the company, will give it a "competitive advantage".

Miraj Multicolour, established in 2001, belongs to the Miraj Group. The company has its presence in manufacturing, exporting and supplying of quality school, office and other paper bound stationery products.

KG Sharma, director, Miraj Multicolour, said, "The newly established packaging printing plant will help us to capture the growing opportunities in the market. Being a first of its kind in Rajasthan, we are envisioning huge opportunities."

ML Paliwal is the chairman of the Miraj Group.

Paliwal said that the company is proud to be the first to establish such kind of packaging printing plant in the region. "We will be able to profit from this competitive advantage," added Sharma.

The newly established plant is equipped with a five-colour Heidelberg CD102 printing press, a Bobst Novacut 106 and Visionfold 110A2 and other equipment in the finishing part of the facility.

Miraj, the ISO 9001:2008 company eyes on pharma companies and FMCG for its packaging printing plant.

In 2011, the company has commissioned its first fully automatic exercise book production machine Alpha RF from ECH WILL at its stationery manufacturing plant in Udaipur, which has been now upgraded to a double reel from single reel and converts 28 tonnes paper per day.

Presently, Miraj Multicolour manufacturers products like composition books, long books, note books, drawing books, jumbo books, graph books, practical books, geometry books, college books, note pads, conference  pads, cash memo, pocket memo, duplicate books, voucher books, spiral pad, punch paper, dusta paper, continuous computer stationery and others.

Miraj Multicolour is worth more than Rs 30-crore and operates from a 5 lakh sq/ft manufacturing plant and has a staff of more than 150 persons.
