Smarth Bansal, brand manager at Colorjet India, said, “At the show, we closed deals for more than 50 machines.”

He said the company had a flying start this year. Colorjet has already achieved a 60% growth rate, 33% market share in the super-wide-format segment.

The Aurajet series II AJ-1821 is a photo-real wide-format digital eco-solvent inkjet printer with a print width of 1800mm.

On the other hand, Verve mini is an entry level UV printer. “We developed this machine according to the market requirement, especially for corporate and short run jobs, Bansal said.

Bansal said today customers are directly printing on fabrics with dispersing ink. The segment is on a growth path. While solvent is still popular among printers, he said in the next two-quarters, there will be a shift in the industry. “Solvent will be out and there will be an alternative replacing. It would be either UV or fabric,” Bansal said.

To facilitate this change, Bansal said customer education is paramount. The PSPs must educate their customers about right technology for right solution. “Our machines helps PSPs retain their customers,” he added.

At Media Expo Mumbai, the company also displayed Softjet Plus SJP-4412, Verve UV and Polo Turbo machines.
