Media Expo: Fujifilm highlights UV; Acuity notches 70 installations

Fujifilm India demonstrated the prowess of its wide-format machines, the Uvistar Hybrid 320, a UV production printer and the Acuity Select printer at the Media Expo show in Mumbai.

Pradipta Chowdhury, manager sales - graphic arts division, Fujifilm India, said, "Today, there has been a lot of focus on UV printing since it is environment-friendly, and we at Fujifilm have been promoting UV for many years now and are ahead of the curve.

Uvistar Hybrid 320 is a 3.2-metre UV production printer which is equipped with a combination of flatbed and roll printer. Chowdhury said, “The machine is capable of producing quality output at speeds of up to 201 square meters per hour.”

He said, "Today the brand managers are constantly on the lookout for new and innovative in-store campaigns at retail spaces. The Uvistar has the ability to print on various surface with the required quality output thanks to its ability to print wide colour gamut."

According to Chowdhury, the industrial printing market in India is booming and there have been more than 70 installations the Acuity range of printers in India.

Simon Nuvoletta, the product manager at Fujifilm Global Graphics, said, “What makes our offerings unique is that Fujifilm has invested in the core technology, including the manufacturing of printheads and inks. This ensures that our products are cohesive and superior to the printers available in the market. All this along with competitive pricing makes our product lucrative and different.”
