Media Expo: Colorjet showcases green printing

India's largest manufacturer of inkjet digital printers, Colorjet India, takes environmental responsibility seriously and so, continually works towards cleaner and greener environment-friendly digital printing solutions.

At Media Expo, held from 22 to 24 February 2018 in Mumbai, Colorjet showcased the finest in sustainable and green digital printing solutions for all signage and advertising needs. These digital printing technologies are designed to deliver exceptional quality for all types of indoor and outdoor commercial printing applications.

These include the Vulcan, which is the first UV roll-to-roll printing machine and uses zero VOC UV inks. The Vulcan is equipped with Kyocera printhead with the capability to deliver prints with high printing quality and speed.

Another printer was the Softjet Grand, which prints with aqueous water-based inks. It is a 3.2m wide printer, efficiently optimised to replace PVC-based media completely. It easily prints on polyester-based fabrics which can be recycled and uses environment-friendly aqueous based inks, an essential, to achieve goals of green printing.

The Polo HQ prints with ROHS eco-solvent inks and has been developed with proprietary GreenTech technology. GreenTech enables the Polo HQ to print with environment-friendly eco- solvent inks and ensures low chemical emissions to reduce environmental and health hazards.

Additionally, Colorjet also showcased its regular range of digital printers like the Irisjet Pro, The Aurajet, equipped with Xaar technology and the Verve Mini.

“The demand for eco-friendly branding solutions in the Indian market is growing fast, due to which, Colorjet is receiving several enquiries for our water-based ink digital printers,” said Smarth Bansal, senior product manager at Colorjet. “Alongside, we are also experiencing rise in demand for UV and Green Guard inks. This is the main reason we showcased our green range of digital printers at Media Expo.”

As a proof of its commitment to a greener and safer environment, Colorjet has won the 'Green Product of the Year' award from BAM AWARDS, Indian Brand Convention 2017, which, recognises the new product development, differentiation, reliability and sustainability of Colorjet digital printing products.
