Manugraph launches Ecoline series

Manugraph, the Indian manufacturer of web offset presses has launched a new series of Ecoline presses. Ecoline is a versatile single width, single circumference press for newspaper printing.

According to Pradeep Shah, managing director, Manugraph India, the newspaper indsutry is changing and changing quite rapidly. “The Ecoline press is a new and affordable offering to the global market and also to the growing demand of the customers locally,” he said.

“We continue to work very closely with our Indian newspaper partners. We listened to their need for a compact press at an affordable price and with the Ecoline we now bring to the newspaper market India’s first compact four-colour press,” said Shah.

Adding to this, he said,“This will not only help the portability of news in the smaller tier 2, 3 and 4 markets but also will provide strategic value to such markets, additionally, it will also help support multi-product business models and those publishers with shorter print runs,” added Shah.

Launched this year, the new Ecoline press is an innovative concept that allows for four-colour printing on just one operating level. Its compact footprint of 8.5ft height, and single level operation allows for installation in pressrooms with minimum floor space and ceiling heights. Shorter web leads between printing provides better print quality, improved colour registration and lower waste.

“The Ecoline is available with a rated speed of 25,000 copies per hour and is equipped with many standard features that are considered upgrades on other presses,” concluded Shah.
