LMAI conducts a technical workshop on label stock and ink

For the workshop, LMAI had invited Rohit Mehta of SMI Coated Products, who spoke on label stock and Balasubrahmanyam, manager, label business at Siegwerk India, who spoke about trends in label inks.

Vivek Kapoor, the president of LMAI, said, “LMAI would like to conduct such seminars for the benefit of the label printing fraternity. The idea is to update the knowledge and best practices.”

The one day seminar was attended by label printing firms which included Saicom Systems, Shree Ganesh Graphics, Bartech, Sundata Processing and Positive Packaging. It was sponsored by SMI Coated Products and Srushti Enterprises.

Meanwhile, Vivek Kapoor, managing director of Creative Labels has been re-elected as president of the Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI). This time, he has been appointed as the president for pan India.

Speaking to PrintWeek India, Vivek Kapoor said, “This is the second time that I have been appointed as president of the association, but this time the difference is I will be the president for pan India. As the head of the association, I and my team would like to set a new benchmark and take the association activities to the new heights.”

LMAI has appointed zone-wise sub heads. This includes Sandeep Zaveri of Total Print Solution,who will head the Western region, Gururaj Ballarwad of ITW - Wintek Flexo Prints who head the Southern region, Rajesh Chaddha of P C Chadha and Co who will head the Northern region, and Ajay Agarwal who will head the Eastern region.

Kapoor said, “For better functioning, the association has appointed four regional heads who will look after the activities of association in their respective region.”
