Laxman Print-O-Graphics invests in C7010VP and Oce VP 2110

Noida-based Laxman Print-O-Graphics has been planning to upgrade its pressroom capabilities to tap the photo and commercial printing markets of north. At PrintPack India, the company bought two digital presses – C7010VP and Oce VP 2110.

On the decision Vimlesh, director, Laxman Print-O-Graphics said, “We finalised on the Canon and Oce presses after comparing the various machines available in this segment. With these two presses, we will try to increase our commercial printing capabilities and also slowly start focusing towards the photo-printing market.”

“The short-runs are getting shorter day by day. Earlier, people used to print marketing brochures, visiting cards and catalogues in bulk using offset technology. However, now the logistics and storage costs have forced the companies to rely on Print on Demand. In the last one year, the total A4 prints at our facility have seen a 100% growth,” he added.

Puneet Dutta, director, professional printing products group – Canon India, said, “The digital printing landscape in India is growing at the rate of 25% per annum. Even though there are tough economic situation prevailing in the country, there has been robust growth in digital printing in 2012. Laxman Print-O-Graphics’ decision to invest in Canon C7010VP and Oce VP 2110  digital production presses from our portfolio will further boost its commercial print applications’ capabilities.”

The Canon C7010VP which is capable of printing on coated as well as uncoated paper ranging from 60 to 325 gsm. The press can produce 71 A4 sheets in 1200 dpi resolution.  Oce 2110 VP is a mid-volume, cut-sheet printer, which can print up to 106 A4 pages per minute.
