Kris and HP showcase progressive profitable packaging to the top 100 brand owners

Kris Flexipacks and HP India jointly hosted an event in Mumbai on August 11. Over 100 packaging development managers were astonished by the applications of digital printing technology.

Kris has installed an HP Indigo ws4500 to provide digital solutions in flexo. Shailesh Sheth, chairman, Kris Flexipacks stated: "One of the strongest appeal of a digital press is its remarkable turnaround time. Keeping in mind the requirements of our customers and the efficacy of products, we have to move from creative creation to execution flawlessly and in a very short time."

The ws4500 is equipped with EskoArtwork workflow and can print up to seven colours including white and spot colours.

The company offers a wide gamut of packaging solutions such as  shrink sleeves, wrap around, combi packs, laminates (for food & beverages), shopping bags (retail packaging) and industrial poly bags (Industrial packaging). Its customers include leading companies like Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, Cadbury’s, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Reckitt & Benckiser, Heinz, Nestle, Marico, Colgate, Amul and Dabur.

According to Puneet Chadha of HP India, "the market volume of the Indian packaging industry amounts to about Rs 77,570 crore" and has constantly grown by approximately 15% year on year. It is estimated that the pace of this growth will accelerate between 20-25% over the next five years.
