Konica Minolta to open centre in Kolkata

Konica Minolta Business Solution India is expanding their operations in the Indian market by opening a new base in Kolkata.

The Japanese manufacturer of business and industrial imaging products, including copiers, laser printers, multi-functional peripherals (MFPs) and digital print systems for the production printing market had recently sold their 1,000th unit in India.

Raju Iyyer, general manager - sales and marketing, Konica Minolta India, said,"Konica Minolta has identified the Indian printing industry as one of the key growing market for us. We have enjoyed considerable success since our entry into the Indian market in April 2010. The Kolkata office is step in order to reach a wider scope of customers."

Konica Minolta was present at the recently concluded Eastern Printpack, which according to Iyyer was a successful outing. "The company received three orders for installation of its machines," said Iyyer.

The Kolkata office will be Konica Minolta's fifth in India. The company currently has offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Gurgaon.
