KK Printing inks a deal with Seiken Graphics

KK Printing Machines (KKPM) has settled into its 90,000 sq/ft factory unit in Ballabhgarh and signed up with Japanese press manufacturer, Seiken Graphics Inc.

According to Sanjay Gupta, the managing director of KKPM, this alliance will bolster Ronald’s web presses.

In addition to its flagship Ronald four hi-tower, KKPM manufactures three-colour satellites and stack units, super folders which range from 16,000 cph; 30,000cph; to 36,000cph, balloon formers (automatic inserter).

Seiken is the third largest Japanese web offset manufacturer after Mitsubishi and TKS with a capitalisation of $531,540. Founded in 1950, Seiken has developed: Type 450 single diameter with speed of 45000cph; Type 65 the single diameter plate cylinder and double diameter capable of printing on both sides of a web for newspapers and magazines at 80,000 cph.

Daily Thanthi has installed India’s first Seiken Type 65 press at the Chennai plant. The second machine has been despatched from Japan, and the installation will be completed by June 2011.
