Kerala Master Printers Association announces its office bearers

At the 32nd annual general body meeting of the Kerala Master Printers Association (KMPA) held on 24 July, the association announced the new office bearers for 2010-2012.

O Venugopal from Anaswara Offset in Kochi has been appointed as the president. Joseph Muttathottil of Emay Offset Printers in Kochi, S Saji of Sujilee Printers in Kollam, Mathew Koshy of SB Press in Trivandrum and TF James of Ebenezer Printers in Thrissur are designated as the vice presidents for the term.

G Venugopal of Sterling Printhouse is the hony general secretary and KP Uthup of Colortone Process (Kochi) is the hony treasurer.

R Gopakumar, GK Printers (Kochi) has been made the joint secretary. Jose Joseph, Printers Castle (Kochi) is staffed as the coordinator.

The print market in Kerala is bullish in preparation for the Onam festival. Apart from consumer durables, textiles, jewellery, automobiles and mobile handset manufacturers are the major print spenders during Onam which also happens to the time when a whole lot of purchase happens. Most of the above industries witness 60 percent of their annual sales happen during Onam festival.

In fact Kerala is one of the states in which print media is expected to take the lion's share of the advertising revenue as print reach is still very strong in Kerala as compared to other mediums.
