"With our conventional set up we were firing around 150 plates, which was far from our requirement," said Anuj Goel, director of Kaveri. "That was a big factor in deciding to replace the conventional system with a CTP."

By installing the TechNova Viostar FA8, Kaveri now fires 220 plates per day.

"We opted for the Viostar because it’s faster and produces quality plates which in turn enables quality printing," said Goel. "The plate stays stationary during imaging giving tighter registration accuracy. Plus the single diode in the Viostar makes it less expensive and easy to maintain. Finally, there is the credibility and reliability of TechNova."

The 25-year old print firm was established by Goel and his brother, Atul. It was a single-colour unit to begin with before it established a new print plant in the Patparganj industrial area in New Delhi.

The firm specialises in printing of books, brochures, leaflets, prospectus, among others and a clientele of 12 publishers, including one of Asia’s biggest publisher, S Chand.

Family business got a helping hand in the guise of Ankit Goel, a second generation guy of the family.
The facility has an array of multi-colour presses from KBA and Dominant besides a fully equipped finishing equipment.

The Rs 7-crore turnover Kaveri employs 100 employees at its facility.
