Speaking on the sidelines of the PrintExpo 2018 show in Chennai, Giridharan S, CEO of Kapoor Imaging said, "We are on the verge of launching a range of two-layer non-ablative TPU thermal plates with a flat response time of 800-850 nm with the packaging industry in mind."

The company is also planning to offer varnish and adhesives for the first time.

The company is also planning to launch a low-chem Photo Polymer Bio Green (PPBG) plates for the newspaper segment by August 2018.

Talking about the company’s performance the previous year, Giridharan mentioned the effects of their partnership with Fuji newspaper plate, ending, "It had a considerable impact on our business since all our other line of businesses put together was finding it tough to make up for the lost business."

"In spite of several diversifications, print will remain our core business and our sights are set on launching our plate manufacturing unit in 2019 without any further delay," he concluded.
