Jo Francis to be chief guest at PrintWeek India Awards 2012

Jo Francis, contributing editor of PrintWeek, UK will be the chief guest at the PrintWeek India Awards event on 30 August, 2012 at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai.

The events for the day include: an exclusive full-day Print Conclave for premium print firms. This will be followed by the fourth edition of the flagship event, Canon presents PrintWeek India Awards Night. Jo Francis will hand-over the PrintWeek India Company of the Year 2012 prism. In the first three editions, Manipal Technologies, International Print O Pac and Parksons Packaging bagged the top prize.

Jo Francis has worked in print-related businesses for more than 25 years. Along the way she has been a typesetter, a screen printer, a technical and customer support pre-press specialist, a communications consultant, and an editor. She is a former editor-in-chief of PrintWeek magazine in UK.

Suresh Ramakrishnan, publishing director of Haymarket in India, said: “Jo Francis has been contributing in the PrintWeek India magazine, the latest being the Big Interview with Benny Landa. And we are thrilled to have her as part of the PrintWeek India Awards events.”

At the Conclave, Jo Francis will provide an overview about Drupa and demystify the show, which she has described as the "evolution Drupa" where digital printing became mainstream.

Besides Jo Francis, the Conclave will provide an opportunity to network with high-profile print buyers, print experts and key game-changers. Ramakrishnan said: "These influential guests will set the tone for what 'must-attend event' that no one should miss."
