The Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) has announced plans for its forthcoming events - International Exhibition & Summit for Packaging Industry (ISPI).

Indian Institute of Packaging show attracts 400 exhibitors
This will be held along with the Indiastar and Pacmachine Award to be held concurrently from 30 September to 3 October 2010.
The biennial Indiapack 2010, the international packaging exhibition will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon West on all the above four days, while the Summit for Packaging Industry and Indiastar will be held at Hotel Renaissance, Mumbai.
Subodh Kant Sahay, the minister for food processing industries, Government of India will inaugurate the conference. In addition, Keith Pearson, president, World Packaging Organisation and other dignitaries from Asian Packaging Federation will be present at the event.
N C Saha, director of IIP, said: "Indiastar and Pacmachine Awards has been an initiative, which recognises the importance of packaging business and its development for the last 20 years now." He stated that once the entries qualify to get the Indiastar, they become qualified to participate in the Asiastar and Worldstar contests.
The IIP has taken the initiate to enlarge the scope of the exhibition by involving two exhibitions under one umbrella. The 20,000 sq/mtr arena will see the International Food Tech and Asia Coat & Ink Show 2010.
Saha said: "The main objective of this exhibition is to bring all the stake-holders who are directly or indirectly related to packaging onto a common platform and allow them to interact on the latest trends and technologies in their respective fields."
400 exhibitors from India and abroad are expected to showcase their products in the latest trends and technology in packaging materials, machinery and systems along with food processing and raw material.
