India bags 12 awards at Cannes

India ended with 12 Lions at the 2015 edition of the Cannes Lions, besides a Glass Lions Grand Prix. While a Grand Prix was elusive last year, the total award count in 2015 pales in comparison to last year's 32-Lion haul. McCann got two Silvers, CLA got one; DDB Mudra, Grey and Ogilvy won Bronze; BBDO picked up a Bronze Media Lion

BBDO India's 'Touch the pickle' for Whisper Sanitary Napkins bagged a Grand Prix in the Glass Lions category, winners of which were announced at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2015 on 23 June.
 
The agency also bagged a Glass Lion for its entry 'Share the Load' for Ariel Matic.
 
Eight winners were awarded in this newly introduced category that recognises work challenging gender bias.
 
India bagged seven more Lions on day three, adding to the four trophies from day two. 
 
Six of the wins were in the Outdoor Lions competition, while one was in the Media category.
 
Outdoor Lions
McCann Worldgroup bagged two Silvers in this category, both the wins were for Dish TV. Creativeland Asia won a Silver for Durex Realfeels. 
 
Grey won a Bronze for DHL, Ogilvy & Mather bagged one for Children's Audiobooks and DDB Mudra's entry for Volkswagen also won a Bronze.
 
The Outdoor Lions have honoured entire advertising and communications experience in the OOH environment, honouring skilful commitment of buyers by both traditional and modern way.
 
In Outdoor Lions category, there were 15 Indian entries to get shortlisted. McCann was the principle winner with four Lions for Dish TV, Creativeland Asia for Durex Reel Feel, Grey for DHL, Ogilvy & Mather group for Children’s Audiobooks winning three each and DDB Mudra has two entries for Volkswagen.
 
 
Media Lions
There were eight entries from India that have made into this category. BBDO bags with four short lists in the category, two of the entries are for Ariel Matic and also the one for Whisper and iCongo respectively.
 
DDB Mudra Group has one for Zee News' for faulty scoreboard scores. Mindshare has one for Clinic Plus, Ogilvy & Mather group has one for Philips India campaign and Mediacom has one for Gillette.
 
For the first time, India had over 26 entries contenders across Outdoor, Media and Public Relations at Cannes Lions 2015.
