The digital print firm which was established in 1990 as a photo copying shop has grown and evolved to become a printing firm which specialises in brochures, catalogues and other such commercial printing jobs for corporate houses and advertisement agencies.

Durga Prasad, chief executive officer, Sri Bhagya Laxmi Printers, said, “The market trend is such that the print runs are getting shorter. The short-run jobs have increased the demand of digital print. Hence it was a necessary for us to add equipment to our existing facility.”

The digital press swung into action on 31 March 2012 and has fired 5,00,000 A3 size prints since then. Prasad said, “The Xerox 1000 Press with its fifth colour dry ink toner delivers good image quality at 2,400x2,400 dpi and speed of 6,000 impressions per hour. The Xerox 1000 has bolstered our capability to cater to the digital market.”

Besides Xerox 1000, the digital print firm houses a raft of digital presses which include Xerox 5000, Konica Minolta bizhub C280, Xerox DocuColor 252 and HP 5500. “With the HP 5500, we are able to cater to the large format jobs for indoor as well as outdoor advertising,” added Prasad.
