Hunkeler's technology bolsters the Indian paper processing market with six installations

Hunkeler, a leader in print processing solutions has notched up six installations in Delhi, NCR, Mumbai and Manipal. India's first Hunkeler Variweb was installed at Mehta Print Arts, a family owned business in Gurgaon.

Sudhir Mehta, the director of Mehta Print Arts said: "It has helped us in bringing out a new product in the market and we look forward to our association with Hunkeler in the future."

The company is deploying the machine for customised web finishing products, variable data printing and encoding solutions.

Put together the existing Blueline and Variweb from Hunkeler Mehta Print Arts has a capacity to produce 10 million pressure sealed mailers per month.

"Earlier we did not know these solutions existed in India" is a reaction the Mehtas get when they show their products to prospective customers.

Arun Gandhi, a partner at Capital Graphic Supplies, the dealers of Hunkeler in India felt that the future is bright for this well accepted technology and they are looking for better penetration in the market.

He added, "the machine has been designed to produce integrated labels, integrated, plastified cards, single sheet mailers, RFID applications, direct mailing applications for value addition."

Hunkeler would be present at Ipex 2010 in hall number 19 and stall number C710.

The company is planning to show its equipment which would include the folder merger module with combined plow-folding and web-merging, as well as the Variweb and Flyfolder solution.
