HT Media invests in Manroland’s Colorman web offset press

Manroland (Hall 06 / Stall D29) announced the sale of its equipment to HT Media, publisher of English daily Hindustan Times.

HT Media has placed an order for one four-high tower and one balloon former which will be added to one of its existing Colorman web offset press at its Greater Noida facility.

Anil Bhatia, managing director, Manroland India, said, “With this new order, HT Media has reaffirmed their trust in the web offset technology from Manroland for print requirements.”

As a part of this expansion plan, HT Media has also purchased a service upgrade to increase the speed of all the towers in their Colorman presses to 90,000 copies per hour. “The enhanced speed will enable HT Media to meet their increasing circulation figures,” added Bhatia.

HT Media publishes a wide range of media products including English daily Hindustan Times and Hindi daily Hindustan which has the combined circulation of 2.25 million copies and readership base of 12.4 million.

Meanwhile, Manroland at its booth is showcasing the new look of Colorman E-Line web press with automatic wireless control which can scan the unit for its wear and tear, ink control console equipped with iPad for single-touch operations and chemistry.
