Romano will be dignified with the title at an official ceremony to be held during GOA’s evening gala taking place in Orlando on February 21, 2013 in conjunction with the GOA’s conference and exposition.

The annual gala award is one of the printing industry’s most coveted honours, which is presented to professionals who excel in management, technology, business, and quality; and those who significantly contribute to the graphic arts industry as well as back to the community.

George Ryan, president, GOA, said, "Frank’s positive yet straight forward analysis and opinion on our industry, always delivered with warmth and humour, has been instrumental to hundreds, if not thousands; who have wondered, struggled, and prospered. Frank is a gentleman, a scholar and a friend. I look forward to celebrating this honour with him at the dedication ceremony.”

The award recipients representing Latin America and North America are nominated by members of the Printing Industry of America and Conlatingraf associations.

The Latin American gala award 2013 is presented to Sr. Gustavo Adolfo Morales Velilla, chief executive officer, Talleres Graficos Emasa, which is a Paraguay-based print firm. According to GOA, Velilla’s local work is focused on creating opportunities for education and training, and improving the workforce to meet qualifications required by the graphic industry.
