Gita Press adds third three-knife-trimmer from Welbound

Gita Press, the publisher of Hindu scriptures and religious books based in Gorakhpur has commissioned a Welbound Trident three-knife trimmer.

Ashutosh Kumar Upadhayay, production executive said: "This is the third such machine from Welbound in Gita Press. Trident is easy to handle and offers easy makeready and provides superior trim quality and aids in the short-run book production.

"The set of three machines will speed up the automation process in post-press and relieve the burden on the manual labour and remove bottlenecks in operations time and scale up finished book block making."

Gita Press has made considerable investment in the post-press department in last two years that includes two new Muller Martini Ventura book sewing machines, a flowline assembly from Pramod Engineering and two four-fold (16MO) automatic folding machine from Kohima Tools in Ahmedabad.

Gita Press has a turnaround of 50 thousand soft-case and 25 thousand hard-case books per day.
